HELP Center for students with children
From the Spring 2004 Parent Newsletter



Undergraduate students who have children are encouraged to visit the Student Parent HELP Center, a support and assistance program for students who are parents.

The HELP Center, which is housed in General College, serves students from all colleges within the University of Minnesota.

The center’s services and programs include

  • financial support, including scholarships, child-care grants, and emergency funds
  • counseling and advocacy, including crisis intervention referrals and information on parenting and life skills
  • a study area and computer center
  • weekly parent education and support group
  • biweekly e-newsletters
